Whoop to Hire 600 Staff Globally with Roles Planned for Limerick

Dublin: Human performance platform Whoop has announced plans to recruit more than 600 employees worldwide as part of its global expansion, with some roles expected to be created in Limerick.

The company, founded in 2012 by CEO Will Ahmed, produces wearable fitness trackers that monitor sleep, health and physical performance through a membership-based platform. While most of the new positions will be based at its Boston headquarters, opportunities will also be available across software, research, design, hardware, product development and marketing globally.

Whoop has attracted investment from several high-profile Irish figures, including Rory McIlroy, Niall Horan and Shane Lowry. Ahmed said the company plans to invest in both talent and artificial intelligence as demand for health-monitoring technologies continues to grow.
