The T2 of Bengaluru international airport will be inaugurated by PM Modi on Nov 11

On November 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The terminal cost approximately Rs 5,000 crore to build.

With the opening of T2, the passenger handling capacity as well as check-in and immigration counters will more than double, greatly benefiting the people. It would be able to handle roughly 5–6 crore passengers each year, up from the present 2.5 crore.

Terminal 2 is a tribute to Bengaluru’s beautiful city, and the passenger experience is supposed to resemble a “walk in the garden.” Passengers will ride through 10,000 square metres of green walls, hanging gardens, and outdoor gardens built in India using indigenous technology.

This airport has already established a standard for sustainability by utilising 100% renewable energy across the property. Sustainability themes were integrated into the design of Terminal 2.
