Dublin: Irish Rail has announced a new timetable that will take effect on Monday, August 26. The updated schedule introduces more intercity train services to and from Galway and Waterford, with later final departures for both cities. Additionally, there will be hourly train services between Dublin and Belfast, replacing the current two-hour intervals.
The new timetable also includes extra weekend services on the Cork commuter network. Kishoge Station on the Heuston Commuter Line will open to the public on the same date the timetable changes. Irish Rail has advised passengers that departure times will also change for many DART, Northern Commuter, and Maynooth Commuter services to accommodate the new Dublin/Belfast hourly services and improve punctuality. Passengers are encouraged to check the updated schedule on https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/news/New-Timetable-2024 before travelling.
