Employees walk out after rejecting Elon Musk’s ultimatum

Twitter has laid off one-third of its Dublin office employees. 140 people lost their jobs in the mass layoffs. Leo Varadkar, Deputy Prime Minister, confirmed that he had been notified. Varadkar was speaking at Athlone’s Fine Gael Ard Fheis. Varadkar stated that he does not believe Twitter will completely collapse. Or even if it did, Varadkar clarified that people have other ways to communicate. Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s ultimatum was rejected by hundreds of engineers. Employees are leaving Twitter as well.

Twitter’s offices are closed.

Elon Musk has laid off employees following the temporary closure of his offices in Dublin and other locations around the world.

The offices are reportedly closed until Monday due to employee strike fears. Meanwhile, employees have rejected Elon Musk’s “teaser,” which suggested that the company follow stricter rules, including longer work hours. Employees were leaving Twitter in droves.

Engineers abandoned Musk en masse.

The Twitter boss had sent an email to employees asking them to click “yes” on a form to confirm they would stay with the company following the new rules. Those who did not comply were fired and given three months’ pay. But people rejected this proposal en masse. It reportedly caught Musk and his team off guard. Musk later reversed his decision not to allow work from home, but it was ineffective.

Meanwhile, those who left Twitter are said to have formed a new channel called Voluntary Lay Off. The new job attracted 360 employees.

Twitter will encounter obstacles.

Following Twitter’s acquisition, 7,500 full-time employees and many contract workers were laid off. With maintenance in charge leaving the company in droves, there are signs that the platform will struggle in the future. Because there are no engineers to deal with the problems, it is a concern that the problems will take longer to solve.

In the meantime, it was humbling to say farewell to the departing employees in person and via Twitter. Hundreds of followers of each came forward with comments against it. On Twitter, comments mocking the developments and bashing Musk also appeared.
