Professionals in Ireland are considering changing jobs, and young people are leaving the country

Dublin: LinkedIn research reveals that professionals in Ireland are considering changing jobs for a variety of reasons. However, research shows that most professionals have high hopes for new job opportunities this year.

According to the report, despite Irish economic uncertainty and a slowdown in global recruitment, 59% of Irish professionals in the country are considering changing jobs this year.

Based on the report, new hires in Ireland are slowing, with hiring down 12.7% from the previous year. LinkedIn Ireland head Sharon Mc Cooey said high wages and flexibility in work are motivating workers to try new fields.

Young people are leaving the country as well.

Another new survey found that 30% of young people in Ireland are thinking about working abroad in the next five years.

According to Jameson International Graduate Program research, the desire to travel is a major motivator for young people to leave Ireland.

Ireland’s youth prefer to travel to Australia, America, and Canada.
