Irish woman collapses to death in a farmhouse in Tamil Nadu village
Dublin: An Irish woman was found dead in a farmhouse in a village near Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu. The 72-year-old woman was found dead by Hari, who delivers groceries to her home once a week.
The information came to light when he approached the local Village Administrative Officer (VAO) for the death certificate. VAO officials informed the police and revenue officials. The police then arrived on the scene. An autopsy was performed.
The police confirmed that the cause of death was a forehead injury sustained in the fall. According to reports, the woman’s relatives contacted her family in Ireland and requested that her body be cremated in India because they couldn’t reach her.
