Dublin Ranks Amongst ‘Unsafest’ Major European Nightlife Destinations

Dublin: A recent global study conducted by OLBG has identified Dublin as one of the ‘unsafest’ major nightlife destinations in Europe, securing the 9th position in the rankings. The study evaluated safety scores, with three British cities—Birmingham, Manchester, and London—claiming higher positions, securing the top three spots. Naples and Paris followed closely in second and third place, while Athens, Lyon, Brussels, and Milan completed the top ten.

The rankings for the unsafest major destinations in Europe are as follows:

1. Birmingham, England: 35.92 (safety score)
2. Naples, Italy, 37.82
3. Paris, France, 42.24
4. Athens, Greece, 43.94
5. Manchester, England, 44.96
6. Lyon, France, 45.32
7. Brussels, Belgium, 45.40
8. London, England, 45.80
9. Dublin, Ireland, 47.18
10. Milan, Italy, 48.70

The study also uncovered additional insights, noting that Stockholm, Sweden, ranked as the worst city in Europe for nightlife, boasting the lowest number of bars and nightclubs at 2.31 per 100,000 people. Meanwhile, Warsaw stands out for having the most affordable Airbnb prices in Europe, averaging just over €74 per night. Despite its safety concerns, Manchester secured the top spot for the highest density of bars and nightclubs, with over 55 per 100,000 people.
