India Launches Precision Military Strikes on Pakistan

Delhi: The Indian Armed Forces have conducted coordinated military operations targeting multiple sites across Pakistan, including regions in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, amid escalating tensions between the two nations.

According to the Indian Ministry of Defence, the strikes—carried out by both the Indian Army and Air Force under “Operation Sindoor”—were aimed at nine strategic locations identified as hubs for terrorist activity. The ministry stated the objective was to dismantle infrastructure allegedly used to plan and orchestrate recent terrorist attacks against India.

The military action follows last month’s deadly terror attack on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national. Citing the need for justice, the Defence Ministry said the strikes demonstrate India’s resolve to hold those responsible accountable.

“We remain committed to neutralising threats to our sovereignty and the safety of our citizens,” the ministry stated. A message posted on the Indian Armed Forces’ official social media accounts read: “Justice is being served.”

Pakistan’s military has confirmed that Indian airstrikes targeted various areas within its territory, including two towns in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and a location in the Punjab province. Multiple explosions were reported in these regions.

In response, Pakistani military spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry condemned the strikes as a “vile provocation” and warned that Pakistan reserves the right to respond at “a time and place of its choosing”.
