Another day of disruption at Dublin Airport

Dublin: Air services have been grounded once more after a drone was spotted on the runway. Drones were spotted at Dublin Airport for the third time in a row yesterday, causing flights to be halted for 40 minutes.

According to the DAA, the safety authority, this is a lack of responsibility that cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. After the drone was spotted, four flights scheduled to land in Dublin were diverted to Shannon and Belfast.

A similar incident occurred at the airport on Friday and Saturday. The DAA stated that the transport minister has been notified and that immediate action will be taken. The authority reminded the public once more that flying drones within 5 kilometres of the airport is illegal.
