“Apple Unveils iPhone 15 and 15 Pro with Upgrades and Price Cuts”
Apple has officially unveiled its latest offerings, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro smartphones, showcasing a series of enhancements and notable price adjustments.
The iPhone 15 is priced at €979, a reduction from the previous iPhone 14’s €1,029, while the larger ‘Plus’ model, featuring a 0.6-inch size increase, now comes in at €1,179, down from €1,129.
Likewise, the iPhone 15 Pro enters the market at €1,239, marking a €100 decrease from its predecessor. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max maintains its price at €1,489 but introduces a significant storage upgrade, doubling to 256GB.
A key focal point of the iPhone 15 series is the upgraded camera system. Both the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus boast a 48-megapixel main camera, while the Pro model’s 48MP lens is noted for its advanced capabilities.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max stands out with the largest optical zoom ever seen in an iPhone, featuring 5x at 120mm, surpassing the Pro’s 3x and Plus’ 2x capabilities. The Pro and Pro Max models are powered by Apple’s latest and most sophisticated chipset, the A17 Pro, touted as the industry’s first 3-nanometer chip.
The A17 Pro’s 6-Core GPU promises an enhanced gaming experience for users, complemented by the introduction of USB 3 transfer speeds, offering up to 20 times faster data transfer with a dedicated cable.
Greg Joswiak, representing Apple, expressed, “This is the most professional lineup we have ever created, featuring a cutting-edge titanium design, the most advanced iPhone camera system to date, enabling revolutionary workflows, and the A17 Pro chip, ushering in a new era of performance and gaming experiences previously unseen on the iPhone.” The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are equipped with the slightly slower yet more energy-efficient A16 bionic chip.
Notably, these iPhones are the first from Apple to adopt the USB-C charging standard, a move mandated by an EU law requiring all electronic devices to share a common charger by the end of 2024.
