All passenger flights from India have been suspended by Australia and the Netherlands. The decision comes at a time when COVID-19 is spreading rapidly in India.
Australia has canceled all direct passenger flights from India until May 15.
Queensland had asked the Australian government to suspend all flights from India. The decision was made following a meeting of Australia’s National Security Committee on Tuesday to discuss the suspension of flights from India.
The Netherlands has suspended Indian services since yesterday evening.
