Boxing Day Test; India searching for a win with two days remaining

Melbourne: Australia took a second innings lead at the end of the third day of the Boxing Day Test against India.

Australia were 133 for six at stumps on the third day as the Indian bowlers put on a fine performance. They took a two-run lead in the second inning.

Cameron Green (17 off 65 balls) and Pat Cummins (15 off 53 balls) were at the crease.

Australia started the second innings with a disappointing start. Umesh Yadav returned opener Joe Burns (4) with a score of four. Ashwin then took the valuable wicket of Marnus Labushen (28). Bumrah also shocked Australia by dismissing Steve Smith (8).

Jadeja took two wickets for India. Ashwin, Bumrah, Umesh Yadav and Siraj took one wicket each.
