Delhi Capitals beats Royal Challengers Bangalore by 59 runs

Monday night won’t be gifting RCB players and fans a peaceful sleep as the Delhi Capital beats RCB by 59 runs at Dubai International Stadium.

Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli elected to bowl first after winning the toss. By batting first the DC hosted a target of 196 with the loss of four.

The Delhi openers Prithvi Shaw (42) and Shikar Dhawan (32) gifted them a flying start. Even though RCB bowlers managed to slow the pace of DC’s run scoring, all rounder Marcus Stoinis (53) and wicket keeper Rishabh Pant (37) managed do muscle some ball and elevated the DC’s total to 196.

By making a comeback into the team RCB’s pace bowler Mohamad Siraj managed to pick up two wickets. The other two wickets were pulled out by Moeen Ali and Udana.

While padding up for a tight chase, RCB never had expected such a disastrous start. Openers Devdutt Padikkal (4) and Aaron Finch (13) failed to score big.

Virat Kohli was the high scorer for Bangalore. he scored 43 from 39 balls.

Kagiso Rabada surpassed RCB bowler Chahal in the wicket takers table and owned the purple cap by leading the table.

Rabada picked up 4 wickets in today’s game. Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel picked two wickets each and Ravichandran Ashwin bagged one wicket.
