Meanwhile, during the event, Morgan Freeman took on the role of narrator and delivered a sentimental monologue. The event was themed after past World Cups, with music like K’naan’s “Waving Flag” playing in the backdrop. The hosts, Qatar, defeated Ecuador in the tournament opener.
