Gardaí Investigate Possible Immigration Offences After Discovery of Immigrants in Trailer at Rosslare Europort
The authorities discovered over half a dozen immigrants in a trailer at Rosslare Europort in Co. Wexford. Gardaí are now investigating potential immigration offences related to the discovery of the seven males found around 5:55 am after a truck arrived at the port.
The trailer has been detained for further investigation, and a technical examination is scheduled. Six adult males were denied entry and are set to depart on a return ferry. The seventh, a juvenile, is under the care of Tusla’s Unaccompanied Minors Unit.
Gardaí emphasised the safety and well-being of all individuals involved. Investigations are ongoing, involving both local authorities and international stakeholders. This incident follows a similar discovery in January, highlighting ongoing concerns about human trafficking activities in the region.
