Heineken hikes beer prices

DUBLIN – Due to rising production costs, Heineken is raising the price of its keg beer. According to reports, the price will rise by 9%. Without VAT, the price of a pint will rise by 17%. Heineken Ireland’s other beers are Orchard Thieves and Coors Light, which have already written to on-trade customers saying there will be a 9% rise in wholesale prices.

Energy, packaging, and raw material costs have all risen significantly. The company claims that the full impact of higher prices will not be felt by its Irish business.

The company explained in a letter to customers that businesses in Ireland are facing extraordinary challenges. This industry is not immune from it either. Inflation and rising costs are putting a lot of pressure on businesses, so pricing has become an absolute necessity.

The pub owners, on the other hand, have spoken out against the price increase. According to Paul Clancy, CEO of the Vintners Federation of Ireland, the price increase is extremely concerning. This is not the right time to increase the price. He also stated that it will be a significant burden on customers. According to Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Irish Restaurant Association, Heineken’s price increase will be passed on to customers.
