India set to host England series in 2021 and IPL 2021 in April

Indian national cricket players haven’t worn their national jersey since the last New Zealand tour due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now released the Indian teams schedule for the next 10-12 months.

 The board is all ready to resume the action on the coming December with the bilateral series against Australia.

India will be welcoming the England for a series in 2021 preceding to the 2021 edition of the Indian Primer League which is about to happen in the month of April.

 “The senior Indian men’s team will travel to Australia in December this year and will come back to the country for a series against England starting from February next year. The upcoming year is expected to be a busy year for Indian Cricket as the board will be looking forward to make-up for the lost time due to the covid outbreak. The BCCI president also said that the board is looking for a strong season next year.

“In the domestic cricket context, we are currently in the off season and the BCCI is making all efforts to ensure that domestic cricket resumes as and when the conditions permit. The health and safety of players and all other involved in domestic cricket is of utmost importance to BCCI and we are constantly monitoring all aspects,” he stated.

At present the BCCI is focusing on IPL 2020, which will be starting from September 19 in the UAE. Recently the board had also revealed that Dream 11 will be the title sponsor for IPL 2020.
