International Day of Persons with Disabilities – December 3, 2022

On December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed to help everyone become more compassionate and aware of the issues that persons with disabilities experience. Since 1992, the United Nations has supported Worldwide Day of Persons with Disabilities as an international observance.

The day doesn’t differentiate between mental and physical disabilities, and its goal is to guarantee that all individuals across the world have equal chances for employment, play, health, and achievement. People with disabilities may be and frequently are contributing and valuable members of society, and today is all about recognising and celebrating them.

Each year the day focuses on a different issue; This year 2022: “Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world”

HOW TO OBSERVE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. Just a small step!

  1. Become an advocate for disabled people.
  2. Help someone out. Simple chores from you would make a huge impact in the life of someone with a disability.
  3. Be compassionate.
