Irish International won the match by Smashing 8 sixes along with his own car window

In the rain obstructed T20 match between the North West Warriors and the Leinster Lightning, the Irish international Kevin O’Brien smashed 82 runs of 37 ball and guided the Leinster Lightnings to a fantastic win.

Yesterday’s Test Triangle Inter-Provincial Series match at Pembroke was reduced to 12 per side due to the bad weather.

The Leinster side set a massive score of 124 for the Warriors. But the damp conditions of the ground made the task nearly impossible for the warriors.

The Warriors lost early wickets and apart from William Porterfield’s 50 from 30 ball no one else were able to contribute more. Thus, the Leinster side eventually won the match by 24 runs through the DLS method.

It was the Irish International Kevin O’Brien who took the Leisters to a comfortable position with his 82 runs. O’Brien smashed eight massive sixes out of the ground and raised the score. He started the fireworks with the second ball he faced.

He went on with the attacking game through which he was able to dispatch 8 out of the 37 balls he faced for the maximums. It was later the reports came that one of O’Brien’s sixes has kissed his own car window. The car was parked in the parking lot adjacent to the stadium.

However, in a cricket fan’s perspective, it will be better for O’Brien to change the broken glass instead of his natural attacking game. Likely for O’Brien, the days was about mixed emotions, where he split the opposition with his innings and broke his own car with a six.
