Kerala Government decides to make COVID test free for expatriates; LDF UK & Ireland Committee welcomed Health Minister’s decision
DUBLIN: The LDF UK & Ireland Committee welcomed the Government of Kerala’s decision to provide free COVID-19 testing to all those coming from abroad. The committee assessed that this is another example of the Government of Kerala’s care for the expatriates.
The decision of the central government to make foreign travellers test at the Indian airport at their own expense had led to widespread protests. Such a proposal places an additional burden on expatriates.
During the last five years, the Left-wing government in Kerala has implemented a number of measures that can serve as a model for other states in India.
The LDF UK & Ireland Committee called for the continuation of this democratic government, which is essential for the progress of Kerala, and for all to work together to strengthen the continuity of the government.
