Lionsgate Reveals Trailer for “The Strangers: Chapter 1,” Set for May 17th Release
Prepare to secure your surroundings, as Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming horror flick “The Strangers: Chapter 1,” slated for release on May 17th.
The third installment in “The Strangers” series, the film follows Madelaine Petsch’s character as she relocates to the Pacific Northwest with her partner for a fresh start. However, their plans take a sinister turn when they encounter three masked intruders at an Oregon AirBnB, plunging them into a nightmarish ordeal.
Joining Petsch are Rachel Shenton, Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath, Richard Brake, and Ella Bruccoleri in key roles.
Directed by Renny Harlin, known for his work on action-packed hits like “Die Hard 2” and “Cliffhanger,” “Chapter One” marks the beginning of a new trilogy in the franchise. The original “Strangers” starred Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, while its 2018 sequel, “The Strangers: Prey at Night,” featured Bailee Madison and Lewis Pullman.
With Bryan Bertino credited for the story, and Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland penning the screenplay, “The Strangers: Chapter 1” promises to deliver chilling thrills and spine-tingling suspense.
