Madhur Bhandarkar’s film India Lockdown teaser OUT
The teaser for Madhur Bhandarkar’s new film India Lockdown was released on Tuesday, and it’s a heartbreaking walk down memory lane. It stars Prateik Babbar, Aahana Kumra, and Shweta Basu Prasad. It is supported by PEN Studios’ Jayantilal Gada, Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bhandarkar Entertainment, and Pranav Jain’s P J Motion Pictures.
The teaser video opens with the historic news of India’s first lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It portrays the impact of the lockdown on people’s lives by using video from throughout the country. Shweta Basu plays a sex worker who questions the seriousness of COVID-19 during the lockdown announcement. Prateik plays a migrant worker who is forced to walk back to his homeland with his family owing to a shortage of jobs.
Aahana Kumra, on the other hand, is observed drinking when stranded at home as a pilot. Overall, the video aims to portray the worst aspects of the COVID epidemic in an unfiltered manner and will be available on Zee5 on December 2nd. The filmmaker captioned the teaser, “The tragedy you know, the untold stories you don’t!”
