MESSI IN : NEYMAR OUT

What a shocking day for Brazilian fans!

Croatia overcame Brazil on penalties in one of the most dramatic FIFA World Cup games of this season to advance to the tournament’s semi-finals. After the game was scoreless after 90 minutes, it was Neymar who broke the deadlock in the first half of extra time to give Brazil the lead. The joy, however, was short-lived, as Bruno Petkovic equalised with three minutes left on the clock. In the penalty shootout, Rodrygo missed the first attempt for Brazil, and Marquihos missed the deciding shot, as Croatia won 4-2.

Argentina beat Netherlands 4-3 on penalties to reach semi-finals.

Argentina goalkeeper Emi Martinez saved penalties from Virgil van Dijk and Steven Berghuis before Lautaro Martinez scored the game-winning spot kick in a 4-3 shootout victory against the Netherlands on Friday, after their World Cup quarterfinal ended 2-2 after 120 minutes. Argentina will meet Croatia in the final on Tuesday after they defeated Brazil on penalties earlier in the day.
