NMBI in Ireland Extends Deadline for OET and IELTS Results

Dublin: Extension Granted for Validity of English Language Test Results for NMBI Registration Applicants in Response to Visa Delays

In response to recent delays in the issuance of delivery work visas, the NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) has announced an extension of the validity period for English language test results for applicants seeking NMBI registration in Ireland.

The delay in obtaining the ATWS (Atypical Working Scheme) visa has resulted in numerous applicants missing their scheduled arrival time in Ireland and, subsequently, the opportunity to undergo the adaptation and aptitude tests. Acknowledging the predicament faced by these applicants, it has been decided to grant a three-month extension to the validity period of examination results, including those from the International English Language Test System (IELTS) and the Occupational English Test (OET).

This three-month extension is applicable to applicants who meet the following criteria:

1. Those who can provide evidence that their application was delayed due to ATWS-related issues
2. Applicants who missed their specified opportunity in 2023 due to these delays
