Online vaccine registration portal for 40-44 year olds will be open from Wednesday

DUBLIN: The online registration portal for COVID-19 vaccination will open tomorrow (Wednesday) for people aged 40 to 44.

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly, who confirmed the start of online registration on June 2, said that registration will begin with those aged 44 on Wednesday, followed by those aged 43 on Thursday, and so on.

People registering for vaccines on the HSE website will require their PPS number, Eircode, mobile phone number, and email address. Those who do not have all of these documents and do not prefer to register online can call HSELive at 1850 241 850.

HSE Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Colm Henry said that scheduling appointments for people in this age group are likely to begin in mid-June.

HSE CEO Paul Reid confirmed that 50% of the adult population has now received their first dose, and 20% have been fully vaccinated. Earlier, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar had said that the Government aims to have 2.5 million people fully vaccinated by the end of July.
