Paetongtarn Becomes Thailand’s Youngest Ever Prime Minister..
Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the 37-year-old daughter of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, has been officially appointed as Thailand’s new prime minister. She is the youngest person to ever hold the position and the third member of her family to do so. Her appointment follows the ousting of the previous prime minister by the Constitutional Court, which also dissolved the main opposition party, deepening the country’s ongoing political instability.
