Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 118 Km long Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway project in Maddur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 118-kilometer Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway project in Maddur. According to officials, it will cut the travel time between the two cities from around three hours to about 75 minutes.
The 8,480-crore project comprised six-laning of the NH-275 section Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysuru and will serve as a catalyst for socioeconomic growth in the region, they added.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundations for a four-lane highway connecting Mysuru and Kushalnagar.

The project will be built across 92 kilometres and would cost roughly 4130 crores. According to officials, the project would play a critical role in improving connectivity between Kushalnagar in Kodagu district and Bengaluru, cutting travel time in half from approximately five hours.

Modi held a big road show in Mandya, the district headquarters city, waving to a vast audience that had gathered on both sides of the route. BJP is focusing on winning a good number of seats in Old Mysuru region, where it is traditionally weak.
