DUBLIN: Revolut, the banking app company, has announced plans to enter Ireland’s mortgage market next year, aiming to offer mortgages to first-time buyers, second home buyers, and those looking to move house.
Joe Heneghan, CEO of Revolut Europe, highlighted that the initiative will initially target existing Revolut account holders. However, a spokesperson for the company emphasised that no final decision has been made. The spokesperson noted that Revolut’s strong customer support for its other financial products has paved the way for its entry into the mortgage market.
Revolut currently has 2.7 million registered users in Ireland and provides loans of up to €30,000.
