RocDoc, an Irish healthcare group is planning to open three fresh Covid-19 testing centres. The Ashbourne based company had previously launched a drive-thru testing service during August.
The latest testing centres will create 200 job opportunities.
The company offers molecular tests using LAMP technology with the cost of €149 and the results will be available within hours.
The private company offers testing even without a doctor’s referral, whereas the state run testing centres need a doctor’s referral to test people.
It is because of this RocDoc centers are always busy. David Rock, the chief executive of RocDoc said that centre opened in Ashbourne in August, it has been very busy.
He said: “Our drive-thru test centre has been operating seven days a week to meet public demand and we are receiving requests from across the country. We can offer express tests with results in only a few hours.”
The company said that many businesses in Dublin are seeking the company’s help to test their staffs.
The CEO also added that RocDoc also offers a mobile category two laboratory and testing facility which can meet the needs of large organisations that require same day results.
“This means we can offer businesses on-site, express testing of staff which helps them keep their businesses open,” he said.
RocDoc is recruiting staffs for swab testing, various medical professionals and customer care staff to meet the need for Covid-19 testing, which is expected to continue in 2021 also.
