Rome: The Rose Garden opens in Rome as part of the 2023 Natale di Roma. The Roseto Comunale, the municipal rose garden on the Aventine Hill, will reopen on April 21 to mark Rome’s birthday.
The Rose Garden is located on the eastern side of the Aventine Hill, facing the Circus Maximus, and is free to the public from 08:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The garden contains many different types of rose flowers. Beautiful roses are also reserved for the Premio Roma, an international competition.
The annual competition is held in mid-May, and the garden is usually open until mid-June, according to organisers.
The garden contains approximately 1,100 botanical, ancient, and modern roses from all over the world.
There is no admission fee to the Rose Garden. See the website for full details.
