Salmonella: FSAI has withdrawn selected chicken products from the market

Dublin: The Food Safety Authority has withdrawn chicken products from the market. Following the Salmonella detection, the Food Safety Authority issued a second order to remove chicken products from the market. Salmonella was discovered in chicken fillets and small chickens.

Western brand products sold at Tesco, Aldi, Duns, Lidl, and BWG Glenmor have been withdrawn from the market.

It is the second time in a few weeks that a Western brand has been banned from the market after salmonella was found in its products. The instructions stated that traders should no longer sell it and that consumers should not purchase it. So far, no illnesses have been reported as a result of it, according to the FSAI.
