Storms and rain cause power outages in Donegal and Leitrim

A yellow weather alert had been issued due to the possibility of strong winds in Galway and other parts of the country. Forecasters predict strong westerly winds and rain in the regions.

On Friday, westerly winds persisted, and temperatures ranged from 6 to 9 degrees.
