Strong Measures Initiated to Protect Indians in Ireland, Says External Affairs Minister
New Delhi: The Union Minister of External Affairs has announced that decisive steps are being taken to safeguard Indians in Ireland following recent incidents of violence.
Irish President Michael D. Higgins and Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris have publicly condemned the attacks, assuring that strict action will be taken against those responsible for what they described as acts of racism and violence.
The Indian government has been actively engaged through the Embassy in Dublin and in close coordination with the Irish Embassy in New Delhi. The Indian Embassy in Ireland is maintaining continuous contact with the victims to provide necessary support. The minister emphasised that all required measures will be implemented in collaboration with relevant authorities to ensure the security and welfare of the Indian community.
