DUBLIN: Met Eireann warns that a strong devastating storm is set to hit Ireland in the coming days. The storm has not yet been officially named. But the next name on the list is Storm Evert.
Met Eireann predicts a minor storm on Tuesday and a heavy wind on Wednesday.
Very strong winds are expected on Wednesday night and Thursday. “Potentially extremely windy on Wednesday night and for much of Thursday, with gale force southwest winds veering westerly and with some severe and damaging gusts likely,” Met Eireann forecasted.
There will be heavy rain on Wednesday night and it will continue on Thursday.
“Turning colder overnight with lowest temperatures of 2C to 4C and highest temperatures on Thursday of 7C to 9C,” Met Eireann said.
