The superstar father of Mahesh Babu died of multi-organ failure at 79
Telugu star Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, popularly known as Krishna, passed away on November 15. He was 79. The actor was treated at the Continental Hospital in Hyderabad. His first wife, Indira; their children, Mahesh Babu, Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarshini; and his second wife, actor-filmmaker Vijaya Nirmala Indira died on September 28th of this year.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his condolences on the loss of the legendary actor and producer. The passing of Krishna, who appeared in over 350 films and left an indelible impact on the hearts of movie lovers, is a major loss for the Telugu cinema industry, according to the CM.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also conveyed his sympathies and sadness over Krishna’s death. He turned to Twitter to say that the late actor was Andhra Pradesh’s “James Bond.”
After the death of the late iconic actor Krishna, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to express his condolences to his family.
Kamal Haasan, in his tribute to Krishna, tweeted,
Allu Arjun turned to social media to offer his condolences on the death of famous Telugu actor Ghattamaneni Krishna, father of actor Mahesh Babu. He wrote in the tweet, “Heart broken by the demise of Krishna Garu.”
Ram Charan, a Telugu actor, expressed his condolences to friend and colleague Mahesh Babu through Twitter. He tweeted, “Heartbroken to hear that Superstar Krishna Garu is no more.”
