Thunderstorm warning issued in Ireland tomorrow

DUBLIN: The National Meteorological Service has issued a nationwide Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for tomorrow (Thursday, August 5).

The warning will take effect tomorrow 6 am and will remain until 7 pm.

Met Éireann has predicted thundery showers with the possibility of lightning and hail. This could lead to flooding and hazardous driving conditions, they said.

At the same time, Met Éireann issued a yellow thunderstorm warning for Northern Ireland, which will be in effect from 1pm to 10pm tomorrow.

The UK Met Office warned that slow-moving thunderstorms would cause floods and travel disruption.
