Two killed in a car-motorcycle collision in Cork
CORK: Two people died in a road accident near Charleville, Cork.
The incident took place yesterday at Rathgoggin-Deerpark on the N20 Cork-Limerick road around 2 pm yesterday. The accident occurred when a car collided with a motorbike.
A 70-year-old car driver and a 20-year-old motorcyclist were killed in the crash. Both were pronounced dead before they could be transferred to the hospital.
Forensic experts arrived at the scene and began an investigation.
Following the accident, traffic on the N20 Cork-Limerick road was diverted by by-roads.
Charleville Gardaí have requested anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them.
