Another update has made headlines ahead of Qatar 2022. Female fans from other nations have been warned to dress appropriately and avoid anything too exposing during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. If any female fan fails to comply with this, she may face serious consequences, including imprisonment. It should be noted that women in Qatar are not permitted to wear tight clothing or expose their private parts in public. It constitutes a punishable offence.
The FIFA website, on the other hand, indicated that women can wear whatever they choose but must adhere to Qatar’s rigorous restrictions. “People can typically wear whatever they want, although visitors are asked to cover their shoulders and knees when visiting public areas like museums and other government facilities,” according to the World Cup website.
Meanwhile, the FIFA World Cup in Qatar’s Chief Technology Officer, Niyas Abdulrahiman, stated, “We have high-resolution dedicated cameras to zoom in on a specific seat and clearly see the spectator; it’s being recorded, so that will help us in any post-event investigation.”
