With the goal, India football captain Sunil Chhetri Becomes Fifth Highest Goal-Scorer In International Football

Sunil Chhetri scored his 85th international goal as India defeated Kyrgyzstan 2-0 at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal on March 28 to win the Tri-Nation International Football Tournament.

On March 22, India beat Myanmar 1-0. Sunil Chhetri set a new international goal record with his 85th goal in India’s victory.

With the goal, Chhetri surpassed Hungary’s Ferenc Puskas as the fifth-highest goalscorer in football history. Chhetri is third on the list of current footballers with the most goals, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal and Lionel Messi of Argentina.
