Dublin: Dublins first static safety speed camera will become operational on Friday, 1 August, at Dolphin’s Barn, Crumlin Road, beside the Maxol garage.
Selected based on seven years of collision and speed data, the location was identified by Gardaí as a high-risk area benefiting from enhanced monitoring.
Vehicles exceeding the speed limit will face Fixed Charge Notices—a €160 fine and three penalty points.
Dublin City Council, in collaboration with An Garda Síochána, welcomed the move, calling it a key step toward improving road safety in the city.
