Indian Independence Day will be celebrated virtually this time in Ireland

DUBLIN: The Independence Day celebrations of the Indian Embassy in Ireland will be held virtually this time in view of the COVID-19 restrictions. All usual public events are avoided as part of this. The Embassy will celebrate the 75th Independence Day in a hybrid mode.

Only embassy staff and a few invited delegates will attend the celebration at the Embassy on Merrion Road on the August 15th. Ceremonies including flag hoisting and reading excerpts of President’s message, as well as celebrations, can be seen live on the Embassy’s Facebook page.

Live streaming will be between 10am and 11:15am tomorrow. The embassy wrote on its Facebook page that everyone is cordially invited to the virtual celebrations.
