Australia’s largest pharmacy retailer opens their initial EU store in Ireland

Chemist Warehouse, Australia’s largest pharmacy retailer has opened its store in Westend Shopping Park in Blanchardstown in Dublin.

It’s their initial European store and this will also create around 30 jobs.

The company has 460 branches with over 8,000 employees across Australia, New Zealand and China. The company also distributes the products at a discount price.

The company is also planning to expand their business to two other Dublin locations and they will start functioning by 2021.

Chemist Warehouse believes that Ireland will be a great platform for them because it has similar demographics to Australia.

The deal to bring the pharmacy chain to Ireland was brokered by Savills on behalf of Chemist Warehouse.
