Irish payments start-up CleverCards is set to create 35 new positions in Sandyford as it announces reaching 350,000 opened accounts. The new roles will span sales and marketing, software development, as well as legal and compliance. The announcement was made during a visit from Minister of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment Simon Coveney, TD, highlighting CleverCards’ success in Ireland’s thriving start-up ecosystem.

CleverCards’ platform enables businesses to send a prepaid digital Mastercard through email or messaging apps like WhatsApp directly to the recipient’s Apple, Samsung, or Google Pay wallet. Over 5,000 Irish businesses have utilised CleverCards for tax-free benefits, payouts, and expenses. Founder and CEO Kealan Lennon expressed pride in the company’s achievements, emphasising innovation and financial empowerment. CleverCards, supported by Enterprise Ireland, aims to solidify Ireland’s position as a global fintech leader.
