Wendy’s to Enter Irish Market, Creating 300 New Jobs
Dublin: US fast food chain Wendy’s is set to launch in Ireland, creating approximately 300 jobs. Corrib Oil, a service station and energy company, has partnered with Wendy’s as its franchise partner for the Irish market. The two companies plan to open ten Wendy’s restaurants between 2025 and 2027, with locations to include standalone stores as well as offerings at existing Corrib service stations.
Wendy’s, known for its square hamburgers, chicken, and salads, will source 100% Irish beef for its Irish outlets and aims to procure other ingredients locally where possible. A recruitment campaign for the new positions will begin in early 2025.
EJ Wunsch, President of International for Wendy’s, expressed confidence in the partnership with Corrib Oil, citing Ireland as a key market for growth.
