The 90-year-old granny made history by becoming the first person in the world to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

Margaret Keane, an Irish granny, received the Pfizer-biotech vaccine at a local hospital in Coventry at 6.45am today.

Margaret, who has lived in Coventry for more than 60 years from Eniskillen, County Fermanagh, will get another booster jab in the next 21 days.

Margaret, who turns 91 next week, is a jewelry shop assistant. She have a daughter, a son and four grandchildren.

She said that she is very proud to be the first person to be vaccinated against Covid-19, and this is the best birthday present she have ever wanted, because she want to spend time with my family and friends in the New Year. Margaret have been living alone for the past few days, because of Covid infection.

“I have no words to thank the NHS staff who cared for me so much. My advice to everyone is to ‘get vaccinated’ – if I can take it in my 90s, you can get it too. ‘” Margaret said to the media.
