Britain’s youngest Prime Minister takes office… the first Indian… the first Hindu Prime Minister of the UK

London: Rishi Sunak, 42, is Britain’s youngest Prime Minister in two centuries. He is the UK’s first Hindu Prime Minister and its first Asian Prime Minister. Liz Truss, who recently left the administration, has stated her full support for her predecessor. Sunak has the difficult task of leading the country through a severe economic crisis.

Sunak rose quickly from MP to Prime Minister after winning the Richmond constituency in North Yorkshire in 2015. It has been described as the fastest promotion in modern political history.
His political advancement was unaffected by his fines with Boris Johnson for violating the COVID rules or his wife Aksatha Murthy’s tax non-dom status controversy.

Sunak addressed Conservative MPs in the House of Commons less than 30 minutes after declaring victory. In his second-long speech, the Prime Minister-designate only called on Conservative MPs to unite or die at a time when the country is facing profound economic challenges. Sunak stated that the people’s main challenge is the rising cost of living.

Meanwhile, Deputy Labor Leader Angela Rayner stated that Rishi Sunak is an unknown leader of the working class. General elections should take place. The same demand was made by SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford. Ian Blackford also stated that if the Labor Party presented a motion of no confidence, he would support it. Sunak turned down the opposition’s demand for a general election.
