Celebrating International Yoga Day all over Ireland

Dublin: International Yoga Day celebrations were held at various centres across Ireland. The Yoga event in Cork was held on the 18th at Togher St. Finbarr’s GAA Club.

A yoga event was also organised yesterday at the Indian Embassy in Dublin. As part of the India-Ireland Friendship Lecture Series, the School of English, Drama, Film Studies, and Screen Culture, University College Dublin, Prof. Dr. Diane Negra as the chief guest. Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra delivered the introductory speech.

The International Day of Yoga in Galway will take place on the 24th at 10.30 a.m. at St. Mary’s College in Galway. The event is co-organised by the Indian Cultural and Sports Community of Galway.

Clonmel, Ireland
The Federation of Indian Communities in Ireland (FICI-FICI), in collaboration with Tipperary County Council, will celebrate International Day of Yoga (IDY) at Rockwell College on Saturday, July 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will also be yoga and pranayama demonstrations.

Irish dance and Indian cultural performances will be staged.

Preparations for Clonmel’s Yoga Day celebrations have begun at Ballantine House, Tipperary County Council’s Community and Enterprises Office. Mayor Councillor Pat English, Tipperary County Council Head of Enterprises Anthony Fitzgerald, Joan Kennedy of Rockwell College, Ruth Smith from PPN Tipperary, and Federation of Indian Communities in Ireland board members Dr. Jasbir Singh Puri, Kuldeep Joshi, Sangeeta Molloy, Margo Molloy, and Cllr. Declan Burgess attended the introductory events.
