Christmas is the Irish people’s main shopping season and also a time of great sales for businesses in Ireland.
There are only 58 days left until Christmas.
But with Level 5 restrictions in place in the country, businesses and the public alike are concerned. Many retailers in the country will be closed until 1 December.
Most retailers will focus on online shopping this time around. Their business will therefore depend on the number of customers switching to online purchases.
It is believed that people may have already adapted to online shopping as there were minor restrictions before the advent of Level 5 restrictions in the country.
According to a recent poll by Journal.ie, nearly 75% of people said they will be shopping online this coming Christmas. Meanwhile, 19% said they’re not shopping online and 8% said they’re not sure.
