DUBLIN: Domino’s Pizza plans to hire 350 employees across the country, including new management, team members and delivery drivers.
The company already employs about 2,000 staff and contract workers in 85 Irish stores. Two weeks ago, Domino’s hired 175 additional staff to operate in Northern Ireland.
Domino’s Pizza Group plc is Domino’s master franchise in the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden, and Iceland. The company currently has 1,201 stores in Ireland and the UK.
Domino’s said the new positions will allow the company to operate the stores longer hours at night. This will provide more services to local communities.
“It has been a privilege to keep our stores open during Covid-19 and we’re delighted to be able to offer more people the opportunity to become a Domino’s team member,” said Scott Bush, CEO of Domino’s Pizza Group, Ireland.
Mr. Bush said the well-being of team members, contractor drivers and customers is important for the company.
Taking into account the risks to employees and customers in relation to COVID-19 pandemic, the company has taken a number of measures, such as contact free delivery and collection and car collection in some outlets. Perspex screens are installed in all stores, and the number of people allowed in each outlet is limited.
