Dublin bangs the title: “Europe’s most environmentally friendly city”

Dublin: Dublin has been designated one of Europe’s most environmentally friendly cities. Despite a poor score in a new poll conducted by luggage app Bounce, Dublin tops the list (2.91). Dublin is ranked just ahead of Belgrade (2.75), Athens (1.64), and Rotterdam (1.48). Dublin ranks lower in terms of green energy and the number of eco-friendly hotels.

Bounce surveyed 28 famous tourist cities on criteria such as sustainable hotels, public transportation utilization, and air quality. Berlin had the highest grade of 6.98 out of 10 in the study. Stockholm (6.93) and Zurich (6.56) finished second and third, respectively. Bounce also conducts monthly surveys as a brand promotion tool. This summer, Ireland topped the list of the safest places for solitary female travelers.

Dublin also excels in tourism

Dublin is ranked among the top destinations in the world for sustainable tourism. Dublin Convention Center was recognized as the “World’s First Carbon-Neutral Center,” and Dublin Bay was awarded UNESCO Biosphere Status. Capel Street was also named one of the world’s best streets. In 2019, Dublin ranked 71% in the Global Destination Sustainability Index. This was to be reduced to 61 percent by 2021. Cork, Belfast, and Dublin were high on the list, and Dublin was voted the fourth most expensive city in Europe by the UK’s “Post Office Money.”
